A phone snapped onto the magnetic holder clipped to a car dashboard

Snap it on. Tilt it. Fold it away.

A magnetic ring on a folding clip. It grips the edge of your dash, holds the phone at your eyeline, and folds flat the second you park.

Phone at your eyeline. Nothing stuck to your car.

RingLock™ magnetic ring

Hold the phone near it and it snaps on. One hand on, one hand off. Two metal rings in the box for phones that don’t have one built in.

EdgeClip™ base

A folding clip that hooks over the lip of the dash, the sun visor or the edge of a desk. No vent fins to bend, no suction cup, no adhesive pad on the car.

TiltTrack™ 95° hinge

Tilt the ring forward or back through 95 degrees so the screen faces you, not the roof. It holds the angle you set.

360° rotation

Portrait for calls, landscape for the map. Spin the phone on the ring; the clip stays where it is.

FoldFlat™ design

Done driving? Fold the ring down onto the clip and it sits flat and out of sight. Nothing sticking up on the dash in the parking lot.

The magnetic phone holder on white, ring up, showing the hinge and the clip
Driver's view of a phone on the holder showing a map, road ahead

Eyes up. Map right there.

Clipped to the dash lip, the phone sits just under your line of sight. Glance at the map, not at your lap.

A phone sliding off a passenger seat and a sagging vent mount

The mounts you’ve already thrown away

Vent clips sag. Suction cups fall. Cup holders bury it.

Every car mount fails the same three ways. The vent clip droops under a big phone and blocks the heat. The suction cup lets go the first hot afternoon and takes a ring of dust with it. The cup-holder stand puts the map down by your knee. So the phone ends up on the seat, face down, sliding at every corner.

  • Nothing bends, nothing sticks, nothing lets go in the heat
  • Phone up at the dash, where your eyes already are
A hand bringing a phone to the ring and it snapping on

RingLock™ magnetic ring

One hand on. One hand off.

Bring the phone to the ring and it snaps into place; lift it and it comes away. No clamp arms to squeeze open at a red light, no cradle to line up. If your phone doesn’t have a magnet ring built in, the box has two thin metal rings that stick to the back of the phone or the case and work the same way.

  • Works with the magnet ring in your phone, or the one in the box
  • Two rings included: one for the phone, one for a case or a second phone
Close-up of the hinge tilting the ring forward and back

TiltTrack™ hinge

Ninety-five degrees. Set it once.

Dashboards slope. Drivers sit at different heights. The hinge tilts the ring forward or back through 95 degrees, so you aim the screen at your eyes and it stays there, over bumps and around corners, until you move it.

  • Front and back adjustment, holds the angle you set
  • No glare from the windshield: tip it until the screen reads clean
The holder folded flat on the dashboard edge

FoldFlat™ design

Park. Fold. Gone.

Most mounts stay standing on the dash like a billboard that says “there’s a phone in here somewhere.” This one folds down onto its own clip and sits flat and black against the dash. Nothing to see from outside, nothing in the way of the wipers or the defrost.

  • Folds flat in one motion, unfolds in one motion
  • Clean dash when the car is parked
The holder clipped to a sun visor and to a desk edge

EdgeClip™ base

Dash edge. Sun visor. Desk.

The clip hooks over any firm edge about the thickness of a dash lip: the instrument hood in the car, the sun visor when you want the phone up high, the edge of your desk when you get to the office. Move it between them in seconds; it leaves nothing behind.

  • Dash, visor, desk, workbench, kitchen shelf
  • No adhesive on the car, no residue when you take it off
The phone turned from portrait to landscape on the ring

360° rotation

Portrait for the call. Landscape for the map.

The phone turns on the ring without moving the clip. Flip to landscape for the navigation screen, back to portrait when a call comes in, and it stays put either way.

  • Turn the phone, not the mount
  • Any angle in between

Every part earns its place.

Survived the summer the suction cup didn’t

Every suction mount I’ve owned let go by July. This clips over the hood above my gauges and doesn’t care how hot the dash gets. Phone snaps on, I fold it down when I park. Done.

Phone without a magnet

★★★★★

The metal ring in the box made it work

My phone has no magnet. Cleaned the case with the wipe, pressed the ring on, and it snaps to the holder like it was built for it. Second ring went on my husband’s phone.

On and off the phone fifty times a shift

One hand, every time. The vent clip I had before needed two hands and squeezing. This is a snap on, snap off. The tilt holds where I set it and the map is right under my sight line.

Leased car

★★★★☆

Nothing stuck to the dash

Leased, so no adhesive anything. This hooks over the dash lip and comes off clean. Four stars because my dash edge is shallow and I had to find the right spot; once I did it hasn’t moved.

Visor mount

Clipped it to the visor instead

My dash is smooth with nothing to hook. Clipped it to the sun visor, flipped the visor down a touch, and the phone hangs right at eye level. Didn’t expect that to work this well.

One in each car, one on my desk

Bought the three-pack: mine, my husband’s truck, and the third is clipped to the edge of my desk holding the phone up for calls. Folds flat in all three when it’s not in use.

Big phone, big case

Holds the big phone, put the ring on the case

My case is thick, so I stuck the metal ring on the outside of the case instead of the phone. Holds fine over bumps. Four stars because I wish it came with three rings instead of two.

You can’t tell it’s there when I park

Fold it down and it’s a flat black strip on the dash. No arm sticking up, nothing to tempt anyone looking in the window. Pops back up in one motion when I get in.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers

Will it work with my phone?

If your phone has a magnet ring built into the back, it snaps straight on. If it doesn’t, use one of the two thin metal rings in the box: clean the back of the phone or the case with the wipe, press the ring on, and it snaps on the same way. Every phone, with or without a case, one of those two ways.

Where does it clip?

Over any firm edge: the lip or instrument hood on the dash, the sun visor, or the edge of a desk. Hook the clip over, fold the ring up, done. It leaves no adhesive and no mark when you move it.

Will it hold over bumps?

The clip grips the edge and the magnet holds the phone flat to the ring. Set the tilt so the phone leans slightly back toward the windshield rather than forward, and it rides out potholes and speed bumps.

Does it block the gauges or the vents?

No. It sits on the top edge of the dash above the gauges, not in front of them, and it doesn’t touch the vents at all. Fold it flat when you park and nothing sticks up.

Can I adjust the angle?

Yes. The hinge tilts the ring 95 degrees front to back and holds where you set it, and the phone rotates 360 degrees on the ring, so you get portrait, landscape and anything in between without moving the clip.

Using it

How do I put the metal ring on?

Wipe the back of the phone or case with the wipe in the box, peel the backing off the ring, center it where the magnet would be, press for thirty seconds. Give it a few hours before the first heavy use.

Does it work with a case?

Yes. A thin or normal case with a built-in magnet ring snaps on directly. A case with no magnet gets one of the metal rings stuck to its outside. Very thick rugged cases hold less through the case, so put the ring on the outer surface.

Can I use it on my desk?

That’s the second place it lives. Hook the clip over the edge of the desk and the phone stands up for calls and video at eye level. Many people buy the three-pack for exactly this: two cars and the desk.

What if the hinge loosens over time?

The hinge has a screw at the pivot. If the tilt ever starts to drift, snug the screw a quarter turn and it holds again.

The offer

How does Buy 2, Get 1 Free work?

Choose the 3-holder option and you pay for two: $59.98 for three, $19.99 each. One per car, one for the desk, or one as a gift.

Does each holder come with its own rings?

Yes. Every holder ships in its own box with two metal rings, two wipes and the manual.

Is it a good gift?

For anyone who drives, it’s the kind of thing they use every day and never buy themselves. It ships in its own box.
