The insulated faucet cover strapped over an outdoor spigot on a snow-dusted brick wall

Slide it on. Strap it tight. Done till spring.

A thick insulated cover with a waterproof shell. Over the spigot, strap cinched at the wall, ten seconds, no tools.

Three layers between the frost and your pipe.

StormShell™ waterproof outer

A glossy water-repellent shell. Rain, sleet and melting snow bead up and run off instead of soaking in and freezing solid.

ThermaCore™ insulation

A thick padded core traps the warmth coming off the wall and the pipe and holds it around the spigot through the cold nights.

Weatherproof fabric

Built to live outside. It sits in wind, snow and sun from the first frost to the last without going brittle or coming apart.

CinchStrap™ hook-and-loop

A wide strap wraps the neck of the cover against the wall and locks with hook-and-loop. Pull it tight and the wind can’t get under it or take it off.

No tools. Reusable.

Slide, wrap, press. Ten seconds a faucet. Pull it off in spring, fold it flat, and use it again next winter.

The black insulated faucet cover fitted over a brass spigot, strap cinched, on a plain white wall
A snowy house at dusk with the covered outdoor faucet on the wall by the porch light

The ten-second job that saves the plumber call.

A spigot that freezes splits the pipe behind the wall, and you find out when it thaws. Cover it before the first hard frost.

A bare outdoor spigot coated in ice with icicles hanging from the spout and handle

What a frozen spigot costs

The pipe splits where you can’t see it.

Water left in an outdoor faucet freezes on the first hard night. Ice expands, the pipe splits an inch or two inside the wall, and nothing happens until the thaw, when water runs into the garage drywall or the crawl space. Then it’s a plumber, a drywall patch and a week of fans. The cover keeps the cold off the spigot in the first place.

  • Protects the spigot and the stub of pipe behind it
  • Ten seconds now instead of a repair in March
The cover turned back to show the thick white insulation inside the glossy black shell

Three layers

Waterproof outside. Warm inside.

The outer shell sheds water so the padding never gets wet and heavy. The thick insulation core holds the warmth around the metal. The weatherproof fabric keeps the whole thing in one piece through a season of wind and sun. Three layers, three jobs.

  • Sheds rain and melting snow
  • Holds warmth around the spigot through the night
A hand pressing the wide hook-and-loop strap shut around the neck of the cover at the wall

CinchStrap™ hook-and-loop

Tight to the wall. Stays there in wind.

The open end of the cover gathers around the base of the faucet, and the wide strap wraps the neck and presses shut. Cinch it and there’s no gap for the wind to get under, and nothing a gust can pull off. Peel it open in spring in one motion.

  • Wraps the faucet neck flat against the wall
  • No clips, no cord to knot, no tools
Two hands sliding the cover over an outdoor spigot, the handle disappearing inside

Two steps

Slide it on. Wrap the strap. That’s the whole job.

Unscrew the hose, slide the cover over the spigot and handle, wrap the strap around the neck and press it shut. Ten seconds. Do the front faucet on the way to the car and the back one on the way to the trash cans.

  • No tools, no ladder, no instructions needed
  • Front, back and garage faucets in under a minute
The cover on a stone wall in falling snow, snow piled on top and water beading on the shell

Built for outside

Snow on top. Dry underneath.

It sits out there for the whole season. Snow piles on the top, rain runs off the shell, the sun hits it all afternoon, and the padding inside stays dry and the fabric stays in one piece. It’s made to be left alone.

  • Water beads and runs off the outer shell
  • Leave it on from the first frost to the last
The cover folded flat in a hand over a garage drawer with a hose nozzle and gloves

Durable and reusable

Pull it off in spring. Use it again next year.

When the frost is done, peel the strap, slide it off and fold it flat. It stores in a drawer with the hose nozzles until next fall. One cover, winter after winter.

  • Folds flat for the drawer
  • Reusable season after season

Every part earns its place.

Three faucets · Ohio

Cheaper than the plumber by a mile

Split a pipe behind the garage spigot two winters ago. Bought the three-pack this time: front, back, garage, ten seconds each. Strap pulls tight and they haven’t moved in six weeks of wind.

First house

★★★★★

Didn’t know I needed this until my neighbor asked

First winter owning a house. Neighbor saw my bare spigots and told me what happened to his. Ordered that night, on in a minute, and the strap is dead simple. One less thing.

Windy lot · Colorado

The foam dome ones blew off. This one didn’t.

The cheap foam cups with the little cord came off every storm. This wraps the neck of the faucet and the strap locks it to the wall. We’ve had 50 mph gusts and it’s exactly where I put it.

Two rentals

★★★★☆

Bought six, tenants can’t mess them up

Two buy-two-get-one orders for two rental houses. Nothing for a tenant to lose or break, no cord, no clip. Four stars only because I’d like a gray option for the lighter siding.

Snow sits on top, inside stays dry

Pulled it off after a thaw to check. Outside was wet and crusted with snow, the padding inside was dry and the spigot was fine. Put it right back on. That’s all I wanted to know.

Backflow preventer on the spigot

★★★★☆

Fits over the backflow thing, strap goes below it

Mine has that brass backflow piece on the end. The cover goes over all of it and I cinch the strap at the wall under it. Snug, but it works. Four stars because it took me two tries to get the strap under.

Cabin · on from October to April

Left it on all winter, came back to a working faucet

We close the cabin in October. Hose off, cover on, interior valve shut. Came back in April, peeled it off, faucet ran like nothing happened. Folded it and put it in the drawer for next year.

Learned the hard way

Wish I’d found it before the drywall came down

Last March the garage wall was wet for a week before we figured out the spigot had split. New pipe, new drywall, paint. These cost less than the paint. On before Halloween this year.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers

Will it fit my faucet?

If it’s the ordinary outdoor spigot you screw a garden hose onto, yes. The cover slides over the spout and handle and the opening gathers around the base; the strap wraps the neck and presses shut. Standard hose bibs, frost-free sillcocks and spigots with a short backflow preventer all fit. Tall free-standing yard hydrants are a different shape.

Does it stop the faucet from freezing?

It’s the first line. The waterproof shell keeps wind, rain and snow off the spigot and the insulation core holds the warmth coming off the wall around the metal, which helps keep the water inside from freezing. In a hard freeze, also take the hose off and close the indoor shut-off valve if your plumbing has one. Cover on, hose off, valve shut is the whole routine.

Do I have to take the hose off?

Yes, always. A hose left connected traps water in the spigot and is the usual reason a pipe splits, cover or no cover. Unscrew it, let the spigot drain, then slide the cover on.

Will the wind take it off?

Not when the strap is cinched. The wide hook-and-loop strap wraps the neck of the cover tight against the wall, so there’s no gap for a gust to get under and nothing for it to pull on.

Does it work on a frost-free faucet?

Yes. It covers the spout and handle the same way. Frost-free faucets still get damaged when a hose is left on, so take the hose off first.

Using it

When do I put it on and take it off?

On before the first hard frost, off after the last one. Most people put them on in October or November and leave them alone until spring.

Can I leave it on all winter?

That’s what it’s for. The weatherproof fabric and water-repellent shell are made to sit outside through the whole season.

How do I put it on?

Hose off. Slide the cover over the spigot and handle until it meets the wall. Wrap the strap around the gathered neck and press the hook-and-loop shut. Ten seconds, no tools.

How do I store it in spring?

Peel the strap, slide it off, let it dry and fold it flat. It lives in a drawer or on a garage shelf until next fall, and you use it again.

The offer

How does Buy 2, Get 1 Free work?

Choose the 3-cover option and you pay for two: $59.98 for three, $19.99 each. Front faucet, back faucet, garage.

How many do I need?

One per outdoor faucet. Walk the outside of the house and count them: front, back, garage, side yard. Most houses have two or three, which is why the three-pack exists.

Is it a good gift?

For a new homeowner, yes. It’s the thing nobody tells you about until a pipe splits, and it costs less than the drywall patch.

Service & support

What’s the return policy?

30 days from delivery. If it doesn’t fit your spigot, send it back for a refund of the purchase price.

How fast does it ship?

Orders ship from our U.S. warehouse with free U.S. shipping. You’ll get tracking by email as soon as it’s on the way. Order before the first frost, not after.

What if it arrives damaged?

Message us with a photo and we’ll sort out a replacement. No forms, no arguing.
